Watch me Wednesday: My Dual Role on Twitter
If the video below is not available, you can view it on Facebook here.
I have 2 roles on 1 Twitter page: CEO of theKbuzz, for which I tweet about social media, marketing, word of mouth, etc. and Candidate for Queens Borough President, for which I tweet about politics, Queens, issues, etc. Should I do 2 different Twitter accounts for this? I think – no – authenticity prevails. What do you think?

Twitter's platform is short & sweet sound (or word) bites. Any twitter identity that cannot be pinned quickly is either perceived as vague or schizo. As a marketing consultant, I'd like to tweet on behalf of separate brand identities, but am roadblocked by the requirement of separate phone numbers. I say, "try to find a way for twitter to allow you to separate your brands (whether they be personal, political or business) and then you can keep your tweets targeted, relevant and clean for your followers. Then, telll us how you did it.
