Interesting blog, way different than the others!
I noticed that the former “FreeCreditReport.com” Facebook page made your list last year as one of the Top 40 Fan Pages. I invite you to check out the reincarnation, the “FreeCreditScore.com” Facebook page. 173,000+ fans at the height of its popularity, nearly 3000 fans have departed and the ones who have stayed are attempting to shut the company down. Word has just gotten out that FreeCreditReport – with an advertising budget of $70,000,000 – paid the three kids in “The Band” commercials a couple hundred per spot. When the trio finally asked for fair compensation, the company threw them to the curb. FCS is now in the midst of a “band search” which has prompted fan outrage, boycotts, and at least one write-up by a nationally-syndicated humor columnist. An interesting commentary on our times and the power of so-called “social media.”
